Commit your ways

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
Psalm 37:5-6

When we rely on ourselves to make things work, we find it may not necessarily go as planned and even when it does, we might not get the expected satisfaction.

But when we commit everything to God, things may not work as expected in the beginning but as we keep trusting in God, we find that things will work out even much more than we expected. God said in His Word that He'll establish us and give us an unexpected end. Also the psalmist says "he has never seen a righteous man want nor his children lack".

Commit your ways to Him, stay faithful and He shall bring it to pass.

Focus on God

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
Daniel 6:10

Babylonians were trying to find something against Daniel for a long time but they couldn't find any wrong with him, so they used his faith against him and instead of him relenting, he prayed more and made sure they noticed. They succeeded for a while by putting him in the den but the king could not sleep all night because of him and at the end they took his place in the den.

When we revere the King of kings, there's no earthly king that will rest until God has established his plans for us.
Daniel didn't stop praying cos ppl were plotting against him, instead He focused more on God than his situation.

Similarly, no matter how hard or bleak our situations might look, we need to understand that God is greater than our situation and we should trust Him to take control of it. Never be ashamed of your faith at any time in your life, it's the only thing that can never be taken away from u except u let go.

Focus on God and He will focus on u and your situation.

Do as He says

And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
Luke 5:5

Simon had given up on catching any fish cos he had tried all he could but yet when Jesus asked him to try again, though he explained himself, He didn't hesitate.

During the wedding at Cana, when Mary asked Jesus to help and He told His time had not come, She didn't lose up, instead she told "Do whatever He asks u".

Have u lost hope concerning any situation, you have toiled, tried, waited and u just feel like there's no way out, no worries, Just do whatever He tells you, and Christ is asking you to let down your net.
He's gonna transform your situation beyond your imagination.

He turned Simon from a mere fisherman to fisher of men, and He turned that plain water to the best wine ever made in history.

He's waiting to do even much greater things for u, just believe and do as He says.

Not my will

Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
Luke 22:42

Christ could have easily saved himself on the cross, all he needed to do was just tap his fingers, say sth and He's saved. But He didn't wanna do want he wanted, He wanted to do what His father wanted.
Imagine if Christ had saved himself, we would have never been saved, each person will have to fight his own battles.

Our being saved depended on Christ doing His father's will, similarly, someone's life might depend on us doing God's will. If it were about us, we may not have to read the bible, pray, intercede for others or even be faithful to God. But really, it ain't about us, It's all about Him, so doing His will should be our first priority.

We should live each day of our lives with this motto "Not my Will but thine O Lord" and we'll never miss it.

Don't take it for granted

What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
Romans 6:15

Having God's underserved grace does not give us license to sin, and having his unfailing mercy does not mean we should abound in sin. God is not to be taken for granted neither is He to be trampled on. He's ready to forgive us always but He also doesn't like it when we sin just cos we know He'll forgive us.

His word says He'll not give us a temptation that is too great for us to handle, this doesn't mean we won't fall sometimes, but His grace and mercy is always there to bring us out of it.

God's grace and mercy is always there, just don't take it for granted.

Dwell in the house

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Psalm 23:6

It takes God's immeasurable Grace for His goodness and mercy to follow us but it takes our faithfulness to dwell in His house forever. But those who dwell in His house shall never want of His grace.
When we have the House of the Almighty to dwell in where we shall want for nothing, where else would we wanna dwell..

Remain Faithful

Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
Matthew 24:46-47

Being Faithful to God is not off and on Job, it's not something we do when it's suitable or convenient for us, rather, it's something we should do always.

We don't know when Christ will come or when God will call us home, so we can't base our "faithfulness schedule" on our own timing. In fact it shouldn't be a schedule, striving to be faithful should be as important to us as breathing. God will call only those that He finds doing His Work to rule with Him, It doesn't matter what marvelous and mighty things we did before He came, What matters is what we are doing when He comes.

Remain faithful always, stay blessed!

His Mecry and Grace

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Titus 3:5,7

We were not saved because of any personal qualities we think we have/had, God saved us in His mercy, His Word says "I'll have mercy on whom I'll....."

Also we don't work on our salvation on our own, not cos we know how to pray or cos we know how to read the Word and neither cos we are spiritual or righteous enough, It's all by His Grace.

If we rely on ourself, we are only feeble humans, it won't take long before our strength to stand fail but with God, His grace is more than enough for us, just hand it all to Him.

We were saved by His mercy and we stay saved by His grace.

Peace be unto you

Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
John 20:19

After Jesus' crucifixion, the Jews decided to tackle His disciples, it wasn't as though they left them free while He was alive, but they did it with caution cos of His presence.
Jesus must have know they were afraid, which was probably why He decided to visit them and He told "peace be unto you"

Is there any situation in our lives that is making us live in fear, Jesus is saying to us today "Peace be unto you" and not only that, in vs 22, He breathed  unto them and said "Receive the Holy Spirit". He has sent His spirit not only to teach and direct us but also to comfort us.
Cece winans "comforter" song from the album "purified" best describes who the Holy Spirit is to us.
He's our life changer and also a peace giver.

When the God of peace is there for us, who do we have to fear..
Peace be unto you this day and forever more. Shalom!

Happy Friendship Day

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
John 15:13,15.

The only friend that I know, who died for another without complaint and with love was Jesus.

Thing is, we find it easy to see God as our Lord and Father but we don't c Him as our friend. God does not want to "just rule" over  us, He wants to also have a close relationship with us, He wants us to think of Him not only as our Lord but also as our father and most importantly as our friend. We can say anything to Him, He understands even more than the best-est friend on earth, He's a loving God and even much more a loving friend. So don't limit Him to being OnLy the Lord of your life, Allow Him to be your friend.

The Hymn "what a friend we have in Jesus" says:
"Can we find a friend so faithful, Who will all our sorrows bear".

The best of best friends is God, If u have Him, u shall never be lonely.

Happy friendship day, God Bless!

Salt of the Earth

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
Matthew 5:13

The earth has lost it's taste and God has called us to be the salt that rectifies this, but if we allow ourselves to be overwhelmed by this world, we soon loose our savour and also the purpose of our calling.

We can't retain our savour on our own, But with God we can do all things, I pray none of us shall be cast out and trampled upon (Amen).

You are the salt of the earth, so act it!

God's Words are Poweful

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Isaiah 55:11

The above verse is one of my favorites, it just proves that God's Words will never fail, not that any proof is needed but it feels so good to be reassured, that too by God. God's Words are powerful, He never forsakes His ppl and He has never broken a promise. He says His words shall not return void, it will accomplish that which HE pleases and also Prosper.

God's ways and thoughts are higher than ours, and His words always work towards that higher part and not the little things we expect.
Abraham never expected to be father of nations when God asked Him to count the stars neither did Job think He could be more richer than He was, yet His latter was doubled.

God is always working for our good and His Words never fails, just be patient and hand over the control of your life to Him.

His Word stands ForEver

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
Isaiah 40:8

Has the Lord made a promise to u and it's still yet to come to pass, don't loose hope cos His word never cease, it may take time and may not happen when u want or when u expect, but surely He never fails neither does He disappoints, His Words shall never return to Him void, never loose hope, keep believing n have a great month.
