What is your fragrance?

For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. 2 Corinthians 2:15 Not only should our lives be pleasing to God, it should also be a pleasant fragrance to others, such that it will draw them towards The Kingdom of God. But how can we draw others to God if our lives ain't pleasing to Him, so 1st, we need to work out our salvation, and when we are searched, we should not be found wanting in His presence. Then others seeing The Glory of The Lord upon our lives will be drawn towards Him. What is your fragrance? Life or death?

Have a great December!

And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
Isaiah 25:9

As the year comes to an end, there are certain things we hoped for this year and they don't just seem too forthcoming, but God wants us to know this is the month He has made, 31days is a lot to make things happen, in fact he can do it in nano secs, so wait on Him and you will c He never disappoints.

This is the month The Lord has made, Rejoice and be glad in it.
Have a great month :)

He Comforts!

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Psalm 23:4

They say a problem-less life is a prayer-less life. The day we gave our lives to Christ is d same day devil signed a contract to make things difficult for us. And also, some problems are a test of our faith.
Jesus didn't say come to me and u will no know trouble, in fact He told there will be troubles but He will be there to see us thru all difficulties and we are more than conquerer in Him.

Fear no evil for His rod and staff will comfort u.

Renew your strength.

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31

Trusting in The Lord means giving everything to Him and not holding anything back. But sometimes, we just don't wanna let go of somethings. The Eternal God has promised strength to those who wait upon Him.
Just give EVERYTHING to Him and let Him handle it.

He's never weary nor tired, and He's waiting just to lighten your burden, give it ALL!

Rejoice in His Power

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 corinthians 12:9

Just like Paul, sometimes God makes us go through certain things just so we remember who is in control and also to lose our pride. But God is not going to abandon us. He'll be with us through it and His Grace will forever be abundant in our lives.

Instead of dwelling on the negativity of things, we can rejoice in the Power of His Glory. His Grace is forever sufficient.

Forgive and Forbear

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
Colossians 3:13

Paul knew it won't be easy for us to love each other always, so he's asked to forgive n forbear. We all are 1 Body in Christ, if there's a discord, then the Body is no longer complete. We can ask for the Love of God to fill us always, so it overflows into others lives.

More than our hurt, ego n pride, The Body is more important, so put it first.

Death unto Life

We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
1 John 3:14

We pass from death to life when we gave our lives to Christ, but we can still be in death if we don't obey God's commandments. The most important is to love God and the 2nd is to love our neighbours.
We mostly find it easy to do the 1st and don't consider the 2nd. John says if we don't obey this, we abide in death.

You can't half please God, u either please Him or don't, so what will it be?

Think on pure things

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Philippians 4:8

Before we commit any sin physically/outwardly, we first think of it, so whether we do it or not, we've still defiled our mind. Jesus told "it's not what go inside that defiles a man but what comes from him" or in this case what's in his mind.
We should ask forgiveness for defiling our mind and we should fill it with pure things hereafter.
May God be in our mind and in our thinking.

Give it all

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Isaiah 41:10

At different stages of our lives, we have different fears:
Fear for the future,
If we'll get a good suitor,
If things will work out,
If we'll get a good job,
If our decision is right or
If we are taking the right steps.
The list is endless.

The good news is the Prince of Peace has asked us not to fear, and He also promised to strengthen us, help us and uphold us. So y not commit those things to him. Nothing is too small or too big a matter for Him, No matter how silly we think it is, He cares regardless. So give it all to Him without looking back and He'll take care of it in due time.

Do not fret!

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Revelations 1:8

God knew our beginning even before it started, and He also knows the ending, so instead of fretting over certain things, y not commit it to His hands.
I love that song
"why worry, when u can pray
...... Cast all your burdens upon the Lord"

Instead of dwelling over things, pleasant or unpleasant, we can always go to the throne of mercy and commit everything to The Only One who know it all.

He's ready to do it, but He's waiting for you to ask Him.

Nothing in Hand

As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand.
Ecclesiastes 5:15

God is not asking us to be lazy, Instead, He wants us to do our work diligently and sincerely, but constantly remembering that there is a greater place ahead, that requires none of our qualification, so that even as we work on earth, our focus is not on earthly things but heavenly things.

Where your treasure is, there your heart lies.

Our refuge

A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Psalm 91:7

Psalm 91 talks about God being our shield and about dwelling in Him.
God never promised His people a life full of ease, but He did promise to be with us, to protect us and make everything bearable.

In this world full of chaos, as His coming is drawing closer, there's no assurance that it will be less chaotic but there's the assurance that He will protect and keep us safe.
Thousand shall fall at our side and ten thousand at our right but no evil shall befall us as long as we stay under God's banner and shield.

Stick with Him and let Him be your refuge and fortress.

Let Him refine u

Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord : his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
Hosea 6:3.

Though it's better we don't move away from God but when do, after returning to Him, He'll def bless us. But only after letting Him refine us. Job and His friends were corrected before God returned everything back to job(though he didn't
move from God). After the Israelites were corrected (several times) only did He heed their cries.

When we return to God to know Him more, He cleans and direct us, He grooms and refurbishes us, and He returns to us all that we lost while away from Him and even much more than we had.
The Bible says "The glory of the latter shall b greater than the former"; Only if we allow Him to refine us.

Submit to His refinement for He alone can make you whole.

Return to God

Come, and let us return unto the Lord : for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
Hosea 6:1

God delivered His children into the hands of their enemies to correct them and when they acknowledge their sins and ask for forgiveness, He forgave and saved them, also He prospered them.

When we sin, the devil's lie is that our sin is so great that God can't forgive us.
Instead of listening to the devil's lie, we can return to God and ask for His forgiveness, He's faithful and just to forgive all our sins. And also, he remembers them no more.

He tears and He heals, He smites and He binds, He corrects and He accepts.

He's got us in His hands

Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.
Isaiah 49:16

Sometimes like Zion, we tend to think God has forgotten (vs 14), no matter how lonely we might feel or how bad our situation might be, God never forgets nor forsake us, which is one of the reasons y I love the illustration of "The footprints"; when the man thought God had forsaken him was when God carried him.
Is there any situation we are in, and it just looks like we are left all alone, we need to remember that people may forsake us but God never does.
He has inscribed us on His palms and our walls are before Him.

If He can carry the whole world in His hands, how much more you.

He's always there

The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
Nahum 1:7

God is always there for us in the good time and bad, and trusting Him should not be like a switch that we use only when it suits us. Trusting Him should be a constant practice in our life, even if situation does not give us any reason to.
And when things ain't good, we need to be rest assured, God is holding us up and He'll make sure we come out victorious as long as we rely and trust in Him.

He never fails

But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;
Psalm 103:17

God's mercy never fails,
He's always faithful regardless of our faithfulness. His banner is over the righteous and his Love is from everlasting to everlasting. Praise Him!

God's expectation

For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.
Proverbs 23:18

Sometimes it feels as though things are going on fine with everyone around us Except Us, and it gets worse when ppl starts questioning our faith.
We need not worry cos we serve a covenant keeping God. He might not do it when we expect, but surely He'll do it at His own time and even more than what we expected. Also as we allow God to take control of our lives and situations, His expectations becomes ours and He will def not relent till they are met.

Your expectations shall not be cut off, only believe and wait for God's time.

The Gate and The Path

Jesus said "I am the Gate, whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out and find pasture"
John10:9

Not only is Jesus the gate to our salvation, He's also the gate to every areas of our lives, so our association with Him does not end at the cross, it continues. Which is why He sent the Holy Spirit to guide us through.
Not only does The Holy Spirit helps connect us to them, He also guides us so that we can live the right and godly way.

Jesus is the Gate and The Holy Spirit helps us stay on that Path.

Commit your ways

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
Psalm 37:5-6

When we rely on ourselves to make things work, we find it may not necessarily go as planned and even when it does, we might not get the expected satisfaction.

But when we commit everything to God, things may not work as expected in the beginning but as we keep trusting in God, we find that things will work out even much more than we expected. God said in His Word that He'll establish us and give us an unexpected end. Also the psalmist says "he has never seen a righteous man want nor his children lack".

Commit your ways to Him, stay faithful and He shall bring it to pass.

Focus on God

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
Daniel 6:10

Babylonians were trying to find something against Daniel for a long time but they couldn't find any wrong with him, so they used his faith against him and instead of him relenting, he prayed more and made sure they noticed. They succeeded for a while by putting him in the den but the king could not sleep all night because of him and at the end they took his place in the den.

When we revere the King of kings, there's no earthly king that will rest until God has established his plans for us.
Daniel didn't stop praying cos ppl were plotting against him, instead He focused more on God than his situation.

Similarly, no matter how hard or bleak our situations might look, we need to understand that God is greater than our situation and we should trust Him to take control of it. Never be ashamed of your faith at any time in your life, it's the only thing that can never be taken away from u except u let go.

Focus on God and He will focus on u and your situation.

Do as He says

And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
Luke 5:5

Simon had given up on catching any fish cos he had tried all he could but yet when Jesus asked him to try again, though he explained himself, He didn't hesitate.

During the wedding at Cana, when Mary asked Jesus to help and He told His time had not come, She didn't lose up, instead she told "Do whatever He asks u".

Have u lost hope concerning any situation, you have toiled, tried, waited and u just feel like there's no way out, no worries, Just do whatever He tells you, and Christ is asking you to let down your net.
He's gonna transform your situation beyond your imagination.

He turned Simon from a mere fisherman to fisher of men, and He turned that plain water to the best wine ever made in history.

He's waiting to do even much greater things for u, just believe and do as He says.

Not my will

Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
Luke 22:42

Christ could have easily saved himself on the cross, all he needed to do was just tap his fingers, say sth and He's saved. But He didn't wanna do want he wanted, He wanted to do what His father wanted.
Imagine if Christ had saved himself, we would have never been saved, each person will have to fight his own battles.

Our being saved depended on Christ doing His father's will, similarly, someone's life might depend on us doing God's will. If it were about us, we may not have to read the bible, pray, intercede for others or even be faithful to God. But really, it ain't about us, It's all about Him, so doing His will should be our first priority.

We should live each day of our lives with this motto "Not my Will but thine O Lord" and we'll never miss it.

Don't take it for granted

What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
Romans 6:15

Having God's underserved grace does not give us license to sin, and having his unfailing mercy does not mean we should abound in sin. God is not to be taken for granted neither is He to be trampled on. He's ready to forgive us always but He also doesn't like it when we sin just cos we know He'll forgive us.

His word says He'll not give us a temptation that is too great for us to handle, this doesn't mean we won't fall sometimes, but His grace and mercy is always there to bring us out of it.

God's grace and mercy is always there, just don't take it for granted.

Dwell in the house

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Psalm 23:6

It takes God's immeasurable Grace for His goodness and mercy to follow us but it takes our faithfulness to dwell in His house forever. But those who dwell in His house shall never want of His grace.
When we have the House of the Almighty to dwell in where we shall want for nothing, where else would we wanna dwell..

Remain Faithful

Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
Matthew 24:46-47

Being Faithful to God is not off and on Job, it's not something we do when it's suitable or convenient for us, rather, it's something we should do always.

We don't know when Christ will come or when God will call us home, so we can't base our "faithfulness schedule" on our own timing. In fact it shouldn't be a schedule, striving to be faithful should be as important to us as breathing. God will call only those that He finds doing His Work to rule with Him, It doesn't matter what marvelous and mighty things we did before He came, What matters is what we are doing when He comes.

Remain faithful always, stay blessed!

His Mecry and Grace

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Titus 3:5,7

We were not saved because of any personal qualities we think we have/had, God saved us in His mercy, His Word says "I'll have mercy on whom I'll....."

Also we don't work on our salvation on our own, not cos we know how to pray or cos we know how to read the Word and neither cos we are spiritual or righteous enough, It's all by His Grace.

If we rely on ourself, we are only feeble humans, it won't take long before our strength to stand fail but with God, His grace is more than enough for us, just hand it all to Him.

We were saved by His mercy and we stay saved by His grace.

Peace be unto you

Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
John 20:19

After Jesus' crucifixion, the Jews decided to tackle His disciples, it wasn't as though they left them free while He was alive, but they did it with caution cos of His presence.
Jesus must have know they were afraid, which was probably why He decided to visit them and He told "peace be unto you"

Is there any situation in our lives that is making us live in fear, Jesus is saying to us today "Peace be unto you" and not only that, in vs 22, He breathed  unto them and said "Receive the Holy Spirit". He has sent His spirit not only to teach and direct us but also to comfort us.
Cece winans "comforter" song from the album "purified" best describes who the Holy Spirit is to us.
He's our life changer and also a peace giver.

When the God of peace is there for us, who do we have to fear..
Peace be unto you this day and forever more. Shalom!

Happy Friendship Day

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
John 15:13,15.

The only friend that I know, who died for another without complaint and with love was Jesus.

Thing is, we find it easy to see God as our Lord and Father but we don't c Him as our friend. God does not want to "just rule" over  us, He wants to also have a close relationship with us, He wants us to think of Him not only as our Lord but also as our father and most importantly as our friend. We can say anything to Him, He understands even more than the best-est friend on earth, He's a loving God and even much more a loving friend. So don't limit Him to being OnLy the Lord of your life, Allow Him to be your friend.

The Hymn "what a friend we have in Jesus" says:
"Can we find a friend so faithful, Who will all our sorrows bear".

The best of best friends is God, If u have Him, u shall never be lonely.

Happy friendship day, God Bless!

Salt of the Earth

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
Matthew 5:13

The earth has lost it's taste and God has called us to be the salt that rectifies this, but if we allow ourselves to be overwhelmed by this world, we soon loose our savour and also the purpose of our calling.

We can't retain our savour on our own, But with God we can do all things, I pray none of us shall be cast out and trampled upon (Amen).

You are the salt of the earth, so act it!

God's Words are Poweful

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Isaiah 55:11

The above verse is one of my favorites, it just proves that God's Words will never fail, not that any proof is needed but it feels so good to be reassured, that too by God. God's Words are powerful, He never forsakes His ppl and He has never broken a promise. He says His words shall not return void, it will accomplish that which HE pleases and also Prosper.

God's ways and thoughts are higher than ours, and His words always work towards that higher part and not the little things we expect.
Abraham never expected to be father of nations when God asked Him to count the stars neither did Job think He could be more richer than He was, yet His latter was doubled.

God is always working for our good and His Words never fails, just be patient and hand over the control of your life to Him.

His Word stands ForEver

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
Isaiah 40:8

Has the Lord made a promise to u and it's still yet to come to pass, don't loose hope cos His word never cease, it may take time and may not happen when u want or when u expect, but surely He never fails neither does He disappoints, His Words shall never return to Him void, never loose hope, keep believing n have a great month.

Turn to Him!

I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.
Micah 7:9

When we sin, God corrects us with love, and He patiently waits for us to turn back to Him, and even when He's angry, we know once we turn back to Him, He'll be there to hold us in His arms. He'll make things right for us and lead us to the light.

His anger last but a moment, But His Favour last a lifetime. Turn to Him!

Loving God

But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
Joshua 22:5

Loving God and keeping His commandments goes hand in hand. Keeping His commandments does not mean we'll never "not keep it", it just means we'll strive to keep it and please Him, more than doing what we want. Pleasing Him will come first for us, and with time we'll find that we want only the same things He wants.

God does not want us to serve Him only in the physical realm for others to see, He wants us to serve Him spiritually, not bothering about others thoughts of us but concentrating solely on Him.

It's not just enough to say we love Him, It's better to show we love Him.

Growing up!

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
1 Corinthians 13:11

There's def a vast and obvious diff btw how we were when we were young and how we are now and there'll be a diff btw now and the future as well, it's called "growing up".

Same way, there should be a diff btw how we were when we were just saved and how we are now, we have to daily grow spiritually. God hates stunted growth, and He does not want us to dwell on past glories. Spiritual growth accounts from spending more time in the presence of God, letting His Word reflects in our lives and in all that we do, such that others around us will notice and emulate us.

Salvation is the first step to knowing God, the knowing is a daily process that will never end, so keep growing!

Confidence toward God

Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
1 John 3:21

There's a difference when we go to God's presence with a clean heart and when we go with a tainted spirit.

When our hearts are clean, we go with confidence and happiness, there's joy and serenity. We go to Him with boldness.

But when we are not clean, there's shame and doubts, and the doubts are mostly about if God will hear us since we are sinful.

In as much as it's better to go to God's presence with clean hearts, even if our heart condemn us, we can still go into His presence with confidence knowing that He'll make us clean.

Come unto Me!

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28

We sometimes feel we can't carry on or we just can't do it anymore. Mostly, this happens when we rely on our strength.
Salvation is free, yes, we have to work on it, yes, but no where was it said that we could do it by ourselves. We needs God's strength as an anchor to hold on to, else we'll fall. He has also commanded to come to Him and He'll give us rest, Also His yoke is easy and His burden is light, and most importantly He'll be with us through every step of our journey only if we rely on Him...

Do u feel weary or tired, or is "enough" the only word u can think of, then go to Him, He's waiting with open arms.

Call unto Him!

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 chronicles 7:14

We spend our time worrying if things will get better, doubting if God will listen to us and thinking if it's even possible at all for all to be well. While all God is waiting for, is for us to call unto Him.

He doesn't want us to call with doubts in our hearts, instead, He want us to call believing He's more than capable. It doesn't matter how unrighteous or unfaithful we think we are, all that matters is that we trust in Him and leave Him to make the necessary changes, cos He's always faithful even when we are not. Although this doesn't give us permission to remain unfaithful, it gives us confidence and boldness to go into His presence knowing He'll accept us and make us whole.
Call unto Him, He's waiting to hear from you.

God of Hope

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Romans 15:13

Have u ever hoped for something that even u know it's almost not possible, but yet, just hoping give u peace and satisfaction about it. Even if what u hoped for does not happen, u don't have to loose the peace u had hoping, cos u know God is in control.

Also, it depends on who u place ur hope in, If we hope in ppl, we are bound to get disappointed but even when God says no, we know it's cos he has greater things in store.

Abound in Hope always and The God of Hope will fill you with joy and peace.

His Grace!

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 Corinthian 12:9

Instead of dwelling on our limitations, we can trust in God to strengthen us to carry on the race, and sometimes, God allow us to go through certain things so that we can learn to trust Him. His grace is always sufficient for us, and neither will He allow us to suffer. Trust Him always!

According to His Will

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

We tend to read the part of the Bible that suits us, only the blessings and parts where God has promised to do sth and not the parts where we have to do sth.

For everything God has promised us, we have a part to play, we can't expect to do things as we wish and expect things to be the same. Yes, all things will work together for our good, but it's as long as we do things according to God's will.

No matter how bleak the situation may look, no matter how hopeless, as long as we do things according to God's will, we need to be rest assured things will work for our good, remember, His ways and thoughts are higher than ours, So He knows best.

Power of the Tongue

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Proverbs 18:21

There's power in the tongue, so we need to be careful what we prophesy with it. We don't have to be negative even if the situation warrants it, The Bible says "out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh". So whatever we speak with our mouth, it means our spirit agrees with it.

No matter how bad the situation may be, we can always be optimistic and one way to sanction this is by prophesying positive things. The whole universe was created by God speaking, and since we are made in His likeness, we also can make or break with our tongue.

Proverbs say "u shall eat the fruit thereof" If u plant a positive fruit, u shall eat good fruit else u shall eat negativity.. Let's be positive in all situation no matter how bleak it looks.

Be Content!

But godliness with contentment is great gain.
1 Timothy 6:6

It's not enough for us to be godly, we need to be content with whatever we have also. We are allowed to want more but it shouldn't be a priority neither should it be our driving force, 'cos if are not content, we will always grumble and the Peace of God will not be able to reign in us. 'sides God hates grumbling.

Whatever Lil or much, we have, we should Be Content, knowing that we can get more only if it's God will. Also we should not be with God only for what we want from Him, or what He can give. It limits Him...

With God, Nothing is Impossible

And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
Mark 10:27

"With God, all things are possible" is written on a plank. My friend read it as "With God nothing is impossible". I realized it doesn't matter how we wanna interpret it, what matters is that we know that "without God, nothing is possible". Whatever it is our need might be, no matter how small or how big, only God can do it all.
If He says yes, then no one can say no.
Just Believe n U'll Receive.

No Compromise

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Matthew 6:24

We live in a world of compromises, where ppl try to compromise btw diff lifestyles and try to balance all. But God is not a god of compromises. He wants us to have the same lifestyle everywhere and it should be one ppl can vouch for and even emulate. He does not like lukewarmness, we can't be somewhere in btw with Him, it's either we are there or not..

So eliminate any other ways that are not of God, so u can be fully n truthfully called one if His.

Be an influence

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
1 Timothy 1:15

Though we have to watch those we walk with, we should be careful not to shun sinners totally, cos Christ came to this world to save sinners and since we got saved, we are to carry on that legacy. If we also had been left alone without being shown The Way, then we would still be lost.

We have to show others the right way, we should not be scared to stand for the truth no matter what. They don't have to like us, Christ wasn't liked much, but we have to keep doing our part and one day God will come through for them.

We were once sinners, so never look down on anyone, but be an influence rather than being influenced.

Walk with good counsel

Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
1 Corinthians 15:33

There's a saying, "Show me your friends and I'll tell you who u are". Though this is not always true, it is about 98% true. Those we walk with, directly or indirectly influence our lives. Now, it depends on how much allowance we give them, but even without our permission, some allowance filter in.

Psalm 1:1 says "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...." there's no point in tempting our self by hanging with bad grps, are we trying to find how long it will take us to fall or what...

It's better to be with good counsel, who will give us proper advice and add positively to us than spend all our days fighting temptation.

Let Him!

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Isaiah 41:10

The Lord almighty is with us, and He has promised to strengthen us. Whenever we feel we just can't carry on, let's rely on Him for strength. And even when we feel we are strong enough, we should still rely on Him, The Bible says "Take heed, lest a man who thinks he stand, fall".
The secret to running this race successfully is to know that we CAN'T run it without God. So whether we think we are strong enough or not, we all need His strength to stand upright in His sight.
Also, He'll uphold us with His Hand of righteousness, only if we rely on Him to take control of the journey.

Let Him take the fore front in your life and you will never want.

Feed The Spirit

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Galatians 5:16

The Bible says "you cannot serve 2 masters" as one will be preferred over the other.
Same way, we can't feed our flesh as well as our spirit. One will be more fed then the other. And even when we feed our spirit, the flesh is always in conflict with it. And if we concentrate on our flesh, the spirit dies out.
I urge us to hereby feed the spirit constantly, so we can withstand any conflict of the flesh. Also, it's by God's Grace.

Spiritual blessings

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
Isaiah 61:10

We should not focus only on our physical or material blessings, as children of God we have far more spiritual blessings to rejoice for. And once we are beautiful spiritually, it reflects in our physical life. There'll be a glow on us that will not be amiss to ppl around us and even they will partake from our blessing.

Rejoice in the Lord your God always!

Are u listening...

And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
John 10:5

We can recognize false prophets if we have a discerning Spirit. Yes, they are sometimes so good, u can't just say they are false but I feel as a true sheep who knows the voice of The Shepherd, we should be able to know when the spirit and anointing of the Lord is missing.

And it's also easy to hear from God, if and only if we listen hard enough. We know He won't shout and even when He speaks, the noise in our busy lives sometimes drown His voice.
So to listen to God, we need to be quiet. Our quiet time is not only the time to read the word or pray, it's also the time to listen. He can't speak when we are speaking, we should therefore give Him time to speak and He'll never speak anything out of His will. And the more we ask Him to speak, the more He'll converse with us but if we don't wanna hear Him, He'll def not speak to us.

So ask, that He'll speak and listen, that u might hear.

It's not about others, But Him

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Philippians 2:12

Who we are when no one is watching is who we truly are. We can't live as diff personality whenever we choose, that just make us hypocrites. Ppl should have good things to say about us wherever we go, either in church, at home, among friends or colleagues. It's not about others watching us instead it's about God.

We are to do God work cos we wanna please Him and do His will and not cos we wanna get into others good grace. It's not about what we do for God but our intentions for doing them.

It doesn't matter what others think about us But it matters what He thinks.

He's always with us!

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Psalm 23:4

The psalmist understood that God didn't promise Him a life full of bed of roses but he also understood that no matter what situation arises, he has nothing to fear cos God will be with Him.

We also need to have this confidence in God, half of the year is gone and though we might have encountered some problems on the way, we are still here. It wasn't 'cos we know how to handle situations or cos we know ppl who can help, It's by God's Grace we are not consumed, So also TrUsT Him to take control of the remaining Half.

His rod and staff comforts us always and He's always with us. He NeVeR disappoints. Have a wonderful month!

Unfailing Unconditional Love, But...

It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23

God never stops loving us, whether we do the right things or not, His love for us never fails, He loves us unconditionally.
So also His mercies never fail and His grace is abundant, but shall we continue in sin 'cos of abundance grace, def not. Though His love for us never fails, He hurts when we do things against Him and it's just like crucifying His Son all over again.

Never take His love nor His grace for granted, Stand firm on His Word and trust Him for directions and u will never go astray.

All have sinned

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 3:23

One of my favorites Bible verse is the one that says "remove the log from your eyes before u remove the speck from ur neighbor's"
It's easy to find fault in others while we totally ignore or act indifferent to ours. Though it's good to help our neighbors remove the speck from their eyes but first we should make sure we don't have a log in our's.
Also we should do this with love and not act as though we are above sin. We should not be like the Pharisee who thought he was better than the tax collector... We all have sinned, and there is no little sin in the sight of God, be it a Lil lie or stealing, or murder, sin is sin.
Therefore, while we help others, we should check ourselves, so we don't go far from Home.

He's Our Help

I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
Isaiah 41:13

Though sometimes we can't c the Hand of the Lord, we need to be rest assured that He's always working on our behalf.
When we have The creator of the whole universe holding our hands, who or what do we have to fear and He has also promised to help, and He's the only One who never breaks a promise.

Hold Him to His promises and He'll never fail to deliver. He's our present help in times of trouble.

Cast your Burden

Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Psalm 55:22

God has asked us to cast our burden unto Him. Either be it light or heavy, He can sustain us. But once we lay our burdens at His feet, He doesn't want us worrying about it again, He hates double mindedness. Instead of worrying, we can pray about it or better still thank Him believing He has done it.

He's got the whole world in His hands and no matter how big our burden is in our sight, It is nothing to Him. There's absolutely nothing He cannot do.
Keep believing and stay blessed!

According to His Will

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
1 John 5:14

It's not just about asking God to do things for us, it's about asking according to His will. How can we know His will if we don't have a close relationship with Him.
His Word has been given as a guideline to help us know more about Him and His will for our lives.

Also, we need to speak more in an unknown tongue, cos The Holy Spirit helps us to pray to God according to His will and not our own selfish desires.
If we feed the spirit and not flesh, we decrease as He increases, His will, desires n ways become ours, we find that it's easy to ask Him n receive cos we are asking exactly what He has in mind.

Ask according to His Will and He'll NeVeR disappoint!

Careful!

Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.
Psalm 69:6

Unknowing to us, there are fellow believers who c us as their role model, they incorporate not only what we say but also what we do, and if they find us doing opposite to what we say, it leaves them heart broken n make them question their faith.

We really need to be careful the way we live at all times, cos not only will it affect us, it may affect the other person even greater, and it's more risky for them cos once their faith is questioned, it may take a while for them to get back there.

You are accountable not only for u, but for other believers near u.

Reason of our Hope

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
1 Peter 3:15

Ppl tend to question our faith mostly when things are not going good for us, they don't understand y we still trust in God even when nothing goes our way and it looks like all is gone..
Then when things go well for us, they wonder how we went from nothing to more than enough. It's all cos of the Grace of God who is the reason for our hope.

Whether we know it or not, ppl are watching us, either to laugh at our face or to learn about our faith.

In Mary Mary's song - God in me, it says:
Everything she got
The girl has been given
She call it a blessing
But u call it living...
...She on her knees
If u ask her, she'll tell u
It's The God in Me

So next time we are asked the reason of our hope, we should boldly tell "it's God"

Stay United!

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
Psalm 133:1

It's def good for us to be united in Christ, cos without unity there's Lil we can do for Him. Each one of us are given diff gifts and this makes us unique, no matter how small we think it is, we are important n needed. Being united is what makes up for other ppl's gift and this make us one Body in Christ.

No one is too small and none is big in the Body of Christ, each person has his own function, and we should do our work diligently else the Body will suffer. Stay united and be accountable!

God Of Peace

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:27

Peace means to be calm or serene. God's peace means to find that calmness not only in favorable situations but also in difficult situations, in fact ESP in diff situations.

Since we decided to serve God, we are def bound to have troubles, it's inevitable, but since we serve a God of Peace, He has given us His peace that even in the most diff situation of all, we have this calmness n believe in God that all will be well.

If u don't feel that peace yet, y don't u ask Him, He's the one that giveth all things..

Be Victorious

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1 John 5:4

Salvation is free but Jesus paid the price, so we automatically become an overcomer after giving our life to Him. But still, we have to work on overcoming as we proceed in our journey, of which faith plays a big role..
Believing in a God we don't c and in things that are unseen knowing fully well The God of Breakthrough will be with us through the good and the bad, and even when He's silent, we still believe. That is a great step of faith and it's the beginning of many victories.

Keep believing!

Stand Out!

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
Joshua 24:15

In a time when the nation was confused on which god to serve despite all The Living God has done for them, Joshua and his family stood out, and not only did he decide to serve God, he turned ppl's hearts towards him.

In our case, It might be about taking right decisions, or taking certain actions. They say if u can't beat them, join them. But it ain't that way, b4 u join them, ask yourself if they stand for God, even if u are the only one standing for Him, know that u stand in the right place.

At the end of the day, it ain't about the crowd, it's about individual, be that person who makes a diff for Christ's Glory.

Work!!!

Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Matthew 18:18

I don't know how many things we have actually bounded on earth and how many we have loosed in heaven. As God's children, He has given us so much power that we don't even realize it cos we are so content with the comfortable, we are ready to settle for things that don't exert us, we want easy prayers n we like the "idea of faith" without working towards it.

We are called to be intercessors, how can we stand on behalf of others when we can't even stand for ourself. Yea, it's good to have others agreeing with us but we should agree with us first.

Remember, You can do anything u wanna do cos The Great n Mighty lives inside of you, but u gotta work towards it. Faith without work is dead.

Let Him

A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
Proverbs 16:9

You may make plans, but no matter how solid and perfect those plans are, as long as it has no God element in it, it's bound to end in disaster.
But when we take a Lil step towards God's plan for us, everything ends right, it doesn't mean the road will be smooth, in fact, it's gonna be as bumpy as possible, the bumpier it is, the more awesome the end will be, and we can be rest assured God will take care of us cos He's the one in charge.
Also, it doesn't mean we should not make plans, it just means we should consult God all the way, He should never be left out in anything we do, He's the only one who can turn our thoughts into reality.

Trust in Him and let Him be the author of your life.

Be Steadfast

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
1 corinthians 15:58

Nothing we do for God is in vain and He sees all that we do, and all counts in His sight. We should never get tired of doing things for His glory and His alone. Also our motive behind everything we do counts.
God does not only see our works, He sees our hearts. We should not do things only because we want something from Him, but when we do things selflessly asking nothing of Him, He knows that which our hearts desires and He'll def do it.

Be ye steadfast in the work of the Father and He'll never disappoint.

Commit to Him!

Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
Proverbs 16:3

We all have certain fears and worries for either the future or the present..
We worry from the Lil things like food, money, clothing; things that we may or may not need, to the big things like how will our future be, jobs, family, spouse, children... None of these things are in our hands and none can be made right by worrying, else we can commit things in the Hands of God who make all things right, He's the Only One who can make that which we desire come true as long as it's His will..

Why worry when u can Pray, Cast all your burdens upon the Lord.

The Way

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6

We know there are no shortcuts to the Father, there is only one way no matter if other ways look a lil like it or look like it has more prospect than it, And this way is Jesus.

Even though we know the truth, we sometimes don't let it set us free, we are sometimes so obsessed in getting there, that we don't mind what turning we take as long as it leads us there.
But God doesn't work that way, we can only take one way regardless of how many other leads there..

Remember, "The means justifies the end" and not the other way round. Stay on the right path and Remain blessed!

No Shortcuts!

And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son.
Genesis 21:11

Before God's promise came in Gen 18, Sarah thought she could help God in Gen 16 by giving her slave as a concubine to her husband, and 14yrs later God made the promise to Sarah.
Maybe it would have come sooner if she didn't try to help God, we may never know, but she regretted her action which I'm sure she thought was the best thing at the time.

We are just like her, we sometimes feel we need sth now or never. It ain't always the way we want, doing things our way just prolong the process, there are no shortcuts to God's, it's a narrow and long road, Be ready to travel it no matter how diff cos at the end, you will arrive at God's appointed time, going your way or taking shortcuts only prolong the journey.

Always tell yourself, "just one more step". Keep believing!

Is there Anything too Hard?

And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.
Genesis 21:6

When God promised Abraham that Sarah will conceive in Gen 18, she laughed, a laughter of un-believe and God asked her, "Is there anything too hard for the Lord?"

God is asking us the same question today, Is there anything too hard for Him to do, He might not even have promised, but cos we are His sheep, He'll take care of all that concerns us, and if He promised, just cos it's taking longer than we expected, we think He's changed His minds, No! He never changes. He'll do whatever He promised to do, only if we'll exercise a Lil more patience and believe.

Sarah felt bad for laughing, and she laughed again when the promise was fulfilled, a laughter of Joy, and all that heard laughed with Her.

There is nothing too hard for the Lord, just Believe

Go God's Way

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Proverbs 3:5

As long as we don't go God's way, things will not turn out as it should, The world says "The end justify the means" But we say "The means justify the end". We may not even go through a bad road, but as long as it is not the road God wants us to take, any problem we face, we face on our own.

Doing things God's way does not mean it will be faster, neither will it be problem free but we are guaranteed that He'll be with us through it all and the end is def gonna be a glorious one.

It's time to stop thinking we are so wise and are capable of directing our lives, give it over to God and let him take reign over it, Trust Him cos He's the Only One who never fails and never disappoints.

The Good Shepherd

And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid.
Ezekiel 34:28

Verses 1-10 of this chapter talks about the shepherds of Israel, how badly the sheep are treated and how they are neglected in times of need.
From verse 11, it talks about God as the good shepherd and how He's going to keep the sheep from harm and protect them.

How wonderful does it feel for us to know God is our shepherd and He's always fighting on our behalf, He's always working to keep us safe and satisfy us, He never forsake us and as long as we stay rooted in him, He ensures us a perfect end no matter how difficult it might be in between. He's the All sufficient God, what better shepherd could we ask for. He's the only Good Shepherd. Praise Him!

Ask HIm!

I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.
Micah 7:9

The first step to being forgiven is for us to first acknowledge our sins. If we don't think we did anything wrong then how can we ask for forgiveness.
Not only did Micah believe God for forgiveness for Israel, He also believed God will make things right and show them the right path.

When we ask God for forgiveness, we should be ready to take His correction and reproof knowing He does everything with love and He will also place us back on the right path. We can't hide from God cos He knows all things, but He wants us to take that step of asking, our asking alone, is a step of faith. He's the only one who forgive all sins. Ask Him!

What do u desire

One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
Psalm 27:4

I'm sure if we were asked what we desire of the Lord, we could think of tons and tons of things we want from Him, first. I'm not saying it's bad to want something from Him, in fact, He encourages us to be expectant in His presence, but I think we are easily disappointed when we don't get what we want from Him because we tend to concentrate more on what He can give and not on Him.
A relationship with God is not all about receiving, it's also about giving Him our lives, making Him our first priority and our most sought after desire.
He who desires the Lord shall never want for nothing else cos God will fill him and overflow him.
So what do u desire?

Pray

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
1 chronicles 4:10

The whole chapter 4 talks about the descendant of Judah, and jabez story seems to be the only one kinda outta place cos it doesn't say who is father was or his siblings... And I think his name was included cos of the diff he made by Praying..

This is someone whose name itself means pain, but he stepped out in faith and prayed a prayer which we all love so much, a prayer that made a difference in his life...

We can also change what ever unpleasant situation we are in regardless of it's origination just by praying. Prayer changes all things if only we will believe in it's power.
Why worry when u can pray and it's never over till u give up. So hold on and never stop praying. God bless.

Longing for God

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
Psalm 42:11

Psalm 42 speaks about longing for God, even when the psalmist was discourage, when he couldn't find God and when ppl around him taunted him about his faith, He never stopped longing for God, and instead of dwelling on his desertion, he chose to concentrate on the good things God did for him and the good time he had in His presence.

We don't have to dwell on past glory, but whenever we feel we are alone or forsaken, we can remember all the good things God did for us and believe He'll do more great things.
I love the story of the man who told the most difficult times in his lives was when he saw only one set of footprints and thought that was when God left him, But God told "That was when I carried you".
At times we might not know what God is up to but we need to remind ourselves that He is always working on our behalf.

Keep waiting, Blessed month!

And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.
Isaiah 30:18

June is the last month in the first half of the year, and def in January, we all made plans for the year, we set certain goals, promises were made and we all believed God for sth...

Things may have gotten worse or gotten better and for some things, we are still waiting, I urge us not loose hope, God's timing is diff from ours and His ways are not only diff but are far higher than ours.. If there is life there is still hope, and I believe God will do greater and mighty things this month. He will open doors for us that we thought closed, He will make way for us and most importantly, He will never forsake us, only if we keep believing and don't get tired of waiting. He's not a man that He should lie and He's the only One who does not make false promises..

Just keep believing, have a blessed month n God bless!

Rejoice

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
Isaiah 61:10

Rejoice in the Lord always, even when we can't see His hands, we need to be rest assured that He's working on our behalf, and we will c only if we believe and are patient enough to receive it.
Even when the world say worry, be depressed, loose hope, give up, I say REJOICE cos your Father is working on your behalf.

Love

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
Mark 12:30

Jesus Christ stressed a lot about loving God and loving one another... It's easy to love God I think or at least to dwell in the idea that we love Him, but loving others is sometimes a difficult task especially when they have wronged us, but The Bible also says if we don't love those we see then we can't love God who we don't see (which is the idea dwelling part)
It doesn't mean we should just take every wrong dished out to us by others, we are allowed to get angry but we should learn to forgive in love, When we put God first and not our feelings, we find it easy to forgive even if we wouldn't normally.

The Bible says "Love covers a multitude of sin" and we also pray to the Father to "Forgive us as we forgive those who have trespassed against us" It all starts from us extending God's love to us, to others...

What are ur Intentions?

Therefore thou shalt love the LORD thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, alway.
Deuteronomy 11:1

When you love someone, u tend to wanna please them, either out of respect, affection or just to be accepted or even to get them to love u back.

We don't have to please God 'cos we wanna be loved back, The Bible says He loved us first, and has chosen us, not the other way around. He never changes so also His love endures forever.

But we should keep His commandments and statutes out of respect and we shouldn't feel compelled to do this, it should be done out of love. More than we doing them, God sees our hearts and intentions while doing them. So what are our intentions?

Seek the Lord always

And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.

But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense.
2 chronicles 26:5,16

Most ppl find themselves closer to God when they are in need of sth but once they think they can handle things on their own, they tend to move away from God.

Being a Christian means to be Christ like and Christ didn't call on God only when he was on the cross or when He was being tempted, He called on Him at all times and we are called to emulate this.

The Bible says "Trust in the Lord always and lean not on your own understanding" Always remember, you are where u are 'cos God brought u there and not by your own doing.

Never take the place of God in your life nor His Glory.

Who do u fear?

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Matthew 10:28

At some point in our lives, we would have given in to pressures from those around us, and it might have been done out of love, fear or just to get them to leave us alone. If it were left to us, we might not have even thought of doing those things...

Now it doesn't matter whether we wanted or they wanted it, what matters is "How did God feel about it" It ain't about us or about other people, or what they think but it's all about God and what He thinks...

Y fear those who can't even kill the body and not The Almighty God who can kill both the body and soul. Let's set our priorities right and put God first at all times. Stay blessed!

He's Knocking

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Revelations 3:20

The Bible didn't say "I'll open the door and come sup with u" it's clearly given tat we have to do the opening..

Just as we were the one who took a step in accepting Jesus Christ with conviction of The Holy Spirit, same way, our growth in Christ depends on the steps we take, with the help of God.

We need to feed the Spirit and not the flesh, so He can always win the battle against flesh. And we should never think we can grow all alone, We need the help of the Holy Spirit.

And if we ever give in to our selfish desires, we should never be scared to pick up from where we left off and ask God for help, He is always faithful when we are not.

Y don't u open that door today, He's knocking..

Suffer for Christ

For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him,
Philippians 1:29

They say a problem-less life is a prayer-less life. Being a Christian ain't just about smooth roads, blessings, success et al, we are bound to face trials, 'cos these trials are the test of our faith and they are there to make us stronger.

So we are to welcome challenges in life and know through it all that we have a God who is greater than any challenge, and we should be ready to suffer for His sake 'cos He suffered for us and He'll be with us and never forsake us. Through Him, we are more than conquerer.

God of Peace

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 5:23

Stay connected to God always no matter what, He is always faithful even when we are not, and He is faithful enough to make us blameless in His sight only if we depend on Him, and not on ourself or anyone else...

The God of peace will preserve our soul, body and spirit as long as we are rooted in Him. Stay blessed!

God's waiting List

Can u imagine being on queue for something u think u need urgently and sometimes, u get it immediately while sometime, u are asked to wait and someone who just joined the queue gets answered before u, and u keep thinking but I need it now, y make me wait, That's how it's like to be on God's waiting list. The funny thing about waiting is, u don't know how long, waiting may be for days, weeks, years, it may even go for decades, Like the isrealites spent 40yrs in the wilderness before reaching the promise land. But if u ain't careful, few mins before ur breakthrough, u might find urself right where u started, so to be on God's waiting list and stay there till u get ur breakthrough, u need:

1) patience: no matter how long it takes, just be patient through it all
2) faith: u need to believe that no matter how long it takes, u'll receive ur breakthrough
3) perseverance: even when things don't look so good or favorable, just stay strong and never lose faith

You are bound to meet lots of discouragement while waiting, but just know Who u believe in and don't waver cos God hates a double minded person. Stay strong and have faith.

Your Treasures

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
Mark 8:36

I think this is one question we should ask ourselves each day.

This world is just like a market place that we are passing through, and sometimes we get distracted by how beautiful a stall is or how nice their advertising strategy is that we forget our purpose for coming to the market at all and we end up at a total different stall than what we had in mind when we started the journey...

How we live this life determines where we spend our eternity, so y settle for a passing happiness instead of an eternal happiness...

One thing that can make us focus on our destination is by dwelling on things from there that's y The Bible says "where ur treasures lays, there lie ur heart"

Start laying ur treasures in heaven today...

Praise Him

Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.

Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.
Psalm 150:5-6

Do u think you have no need to praise God today 'cos you are still waiting on Him for something, then it means u are indirectly telling Him u are alive 'cos of ur own doing.

Do u think it was ur doing that u went out and came back safely.
Do u think it was ur doing that u slept and woke up.
Do u really think u are the one staying alive and not Him keeping u alive...

You still have breath in u, y don't u praise Him when u can.

Let EVERYTHING that has breath praise HIM.

He Overcame

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
John 16:33

Christ did not say "since u'll have peace in me, u'll never have tribulation" neither did He say "u may" He said "u shall" which means it's inevitable.

Immediately we become His children, we are top on satan's "to do list". But the greatest consolation is that we are not alone, Christ overcame already, and through Him and with Him, we also can overcome...

So be of good cheer, 'cos He that is in us is greater than he that is in the world, we are more than conquerors, we are an overcomer!

There is hope

O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
I chronicles 16:34

Instead of focussing on the things we are still waiting on God for, both the feasible ones and ones that ain't even close to being feasible...

Y don't we focus on our life today, they say if there is life there is hope, we still have life else we won't be reading this msg, and the most un-feasible thing is to stay alive "on our own" So God who is faithful enough to keep us alive is def more than faithful to do all those things, so y don't we thank him for life and for his unfailing love and mercy.

His mercy does endureth forever of which we are a living witness for...

Have a great week :-)

Love Them....

But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
Luke 6:27-28

I think out of everything Christ commanded us to do, this is one of the most difficult if not the most..

But let's think about it, if we spend our time cursing whoever offended us, we end up more bitter than we were, but if we pray for God to change the person and to help us forgive them, our spirit becomes free'er and lighter...

Though it ain't easy, we can do all things through Christ...

Lord Bless Thee

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
Numbers 6:24

May the Lord's blessings remain with u forever and may His mercies never come to an end. May He be your guidance and shield all the day of your life and may you dwell in His presence forever more. Amen!

Have a blessed day.

His Word

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
Isaiah 40:8

God is always faithful and true and whatever He says He'll do, that He'll. The timings may be different, but it doesn't matter, His Word will not change, He says also in Isaiah that "His Word will not return to Him void and it will accomplish that which He pleases".

He is the Lord over all, and He is not man that He Should lie, neither does He change.

Just Believe and be patient.

God is for us

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:31

If God is for us, no one can stand against us but first we need to know where we really stand, 'cos sometimes we ourselves might be an hindrance to certain promises of God.

We can't be with the world and also with the Word, God hates lukewarmness, though we are in the world, we should not be conformed to it, we should stand firm in our faith and let ppl know we stand for God. We should never lower our standards just to satisfy our colleagues, friends, boss e.t.c.

We are called to be different and not to adjust, called to set the pace for others and not to follow. Truthfully it's kinda difficult to be different at times, but our God is able, if only we would ask Him.

Our Light n Strength

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 27:1

We have nothing to fear since we have the Light of the world as our own personal light, to light our way, just to make sure we go the right way and also to counter any evil lurking in our path.

We have no one to be afraid of 'cos the Almighty God, The great I am, The immovable rock is our strength and no one and nothing can stand against Him.

Why don't we share This Light with others today and also take time out to Thank Him for being there for us.

Persevere

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
James 1:12

"There's no promotion without examination" so also we can't know our growth in the Lord if we are not tested, and we really have nothing to worry about because God says, "I'll not give u a temptation that is too great for u to handle" besides whenever we feel we can't carry on, that the trials are just too much, all we have to do is call on our Father for strength and He is forever faithful to supply more than we need..

And if we are able to persevere through it all, we get the last laugh while the devil gets defeated as always. Praise God!

Prayer of Agreement

And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken
Ecclesiastes 4:12

It is said that a problem shared is a problem half solved, greater than this is a prayer of agreement, the Bible says "one shall chase a thousand and two shall chase ten thousands" so when we agree in prayer, there's a greater effect than when we pray on our own.

And I say " a prayer of agreement is a problem fully solved" :-D
